Dear World,
I don’t like the direction of this. I’m tired of people feeling the extreme urge to present their opinions on just about everything online. The Internet has become a little too much bloated with blogs of all sorts and sizes, the majority of them not worth visiting, let alone reading. I’m amazed at how much people crawl for attention online, and it’s a very sad thing, may I say. It’s just not going to work anymore.
I feared that the time will come when one will just want to get offline and not read all of the junk that is out there. Seriously, can you remember the last time you found a web site worth visiting? Think about hours and hours of time spent on various blogs, social networking web sites and other whatnots. An artifact of a modern world. Yeah, right.
After proper evaluation of the whole situation, I concluded that I don’t really want everyone to hear my opinion on everything. I don’t even have an opinion on everthing (who does, anyway?), and I don’t think it’s worth the time and effort to write about useless stuff. When I started out with this web site, I had a very blurred view on blogging. The sad truth is: nobody cares to read anything anymore. Thus, I won’t write here anymore. Probably never, ever again. By doing so, I contribute to, I like to say, Internet cleanup. The Internet is now less polluted, but it’s not enough. It’s not like this web site polluted it very much, in fact, it barely did, but there are thousands of millions of web sites like this one, and that makes the Internet a horrible place. There’s just less and less useful stuff online, and we have to face it, sooner or later.
Therefore, I’ll do my best to put up something that will be worth reading/using for a change, but I don’t have a bare idea when will that happen. If it ever happens. This domain name will continue to exist, just to help me protect my identity online, but the form will never be the same. I may start another blog sometimes, but it will most probably have a very different form, though that’s unlikely to happen. I do like the idea of blogging, and I do know where blog fits in the whole Internet thing, but I’m just not capable of fitting into the scheme right now. Therefore, this web site is (temporarily?) closed.
Now go out there and find something other to do. I don’t have much time to waste, so shouldn’t you.
